Zachary co-founded Blue Ocean Strategy Canada (UCSI Blue Ocean Strategy Regional Centre, Canada Office Inc.) in 2008, a management consulting firm established to provide services based on the international best-selling book (Blue Ocean Strategy) written by world renowned business strategists Professors W. Chan Kim & Renée Mauborgne.

 

Zachary holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Manitoba, Canada, where he demonstrated excellence in both his academic and professional career by winning the Dr. Lansdown Award for Excellent Academic Achievement in his graduating year, as well as numerous technical awards in the field of Civil Engineering.

 

Zachary spent 4 years working for the Manitoba Government managing numerous multi-million dollar highway infrastructure projects. The wide scope of projects and the different technical teams he managed within each project scope contributed to the development of exemplary project management skills.

 

In 2009, Zachary returned to Malaysia to utilize his engineering and project management expertise to manage UCSI's infrastructure expansion project, estimated at $300 Million (USD), which will see his team build a hospital, hotel resorts, a 44 storey office building and a number of student residential halls over the next 4 years.

 

In addition to fulfilling his engineering aspirations, Zachary currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for UCSI Blue Ocean Strategy Canada, working closely with the team on the ground in Toronto to provide consulting, training and certification on Blue Ocean Strategy to companies and organizations nation-wide. Zachary & his team aim to build the Blue Ocean Strategy brand in Canada and to work with companies to create business strategy solutions that are grounded in the principles of value innovation.
